The President of Israel, Shimon Peres, has put together “a coalition of CEOs from Israel's top 20 high-tech companies to join hands with him and promote the employment of Arabs in the Israeli high-tech.”
On Wednesday, February 9th, Peres held a press conference to present his plan, together with the 20 CEOs. Dani Avidor, President and CEO of Redmatch, was amongst the 20 CEO’s participating together with some of Redmatch’s clients such as: Erez Benovitz - CEO of MIT, Rafi Maor CEO and President of ECI Telecom and Eli Campo – EVP and General Manager of LivePerson. Other participants of the coalition who also participated in the press conference: Maxine Fessberg of Intel Israel, Danny Inbar of Sandisk Israel, Boaz Maoz of Cisco Israel, Moshe Lichtman of the Microsoft Israel R&D center, Russell Ellwanger of TowerJazz, Joshua Bakola of HP Israel, Micky Steiner of SAP Israel, Amir Peleg of TaKaDu, Zeevi Bregman of NICE Systems, Meir Nissensohn of IBM Israel and serial high-tech entrepreneur Yossi Vardi.
During the press conference, the coalition of the 20 companies and the President launched the website called Maantech.org.il. The purpose of the site is to match Arab college graduates looking for jobs with employers. The website is jointly operated by the nonprofit organization Kav Mashve, which helps job-seekers find work, together with MIT and Manpower who utilize Redmatch’s matching technology.
